The service does not automatically collect any information, except for the information contained in cookies.

Cookies (so-called "cookies") are computer data, in particular text files, which are stored on the end device of the Service User and are intended for using the Service's websites. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time of their storage on the end device, and a unique number.

The entity placing cookies on the end device of the Service User and accessing them is the operator of the Solux.lighting Service.

Cookies are used for the purpose of:

a) adapting the content of the Service's websites to the User's preferences and optimizing the use of the websites; in particular, these files allow recognizing the device of the Service User and displaying the website accordingly, tailored to their individual needs;

b) creating statistics that help understand how Service Users use websites, which enables improving their structure and content;

c) maintaining the Service User's session (after logging in), thanks to which the User does not have to enter their login and password on each subpage of the Service again;

Two basic types of cookies are used within the Service: "session" cookies and "persistent" cookies. "Session" cookies are temporary files that are stored on the end device of the User until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). "Persistent" cookies are stored on the end device of the User for the time specified in the parameters of the cookies or until they are deleted by the User.

The following types of cookies are used within the Service:

a) "necessary" cookies, allowing to use the services available within the Service, e.g., authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Service;

b) cookies for security purposes, e.g., used to detect abuses in the scope of authentication within the Service;

c) "performance" cookies, allowing to collect information on the use of the Service's websites;

d) "functional" cookies, allowing to "remember" the User's selected settings and personalize the User interface, e.g., in the scope of the selected language or the region from which the User comes, font size, appearance of the website, etc.;

e) "advertising" cookies, allowing to provide Users with advertising content more tailored to their interests.

In many cases, the software used to browse websites (web browser) allows for the storage of cookies on the end device of the User by default. Users of the Service may change cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed, in particular, to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or to inform about each placement of cookies on the device of the User of the Service. Detailed information on the possibilities and methods of handling cookies is available in the software settings (web browser).

The Service Operator informs that limitations on the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available on the Service's websites.

Cookies placed on the end device of the User of the Service can also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service Operator.

More information about cookies is available in the "Help" section of the web browser menu.
